   Shower Of Rain

I've been writing for about 20 years. "smile" a poem I wrote to a pen pale. has been published. I was recognized by the National Library of congress as one of the best poets of 2003 for the work.  It was written about 16 years ago.
 
During the adore tour I took "smile" along with other favorite poems I've written and a beautiful young "Lanie sunshine" to a pumpkins show. It was at St Andrews in Detroit. Lanie and I made our way front center stage. at the end of the show, I tossed my manuscript onto the stage. Billy Corgans eyes followed them to the stage. I don't know what I thought he'd do with them. but almost 8 years later. My young lady friend "Alexandra" asked me to burn her a pumpkins cd. While i was using cool edit pro to extract different songs I thought "what if I put audio of my poems on top of pumpkins music beds". Brilliant. Some of this stuff I wrote at some obvious low points in life. this isn't my show it's my life as it relates with the pumpkins. "just listen". 7 minutes and 2 seconds. 4 of my poems mixed in.

This poet is my neighbor. I've never been into grunge, or the Pumpkins, but he told me about this, I listened, and I like it. Good job!

I graduated with her (T.Kerr).
I know it's in nuetral. I've bounced on the floor, gone over the balcony. But I think Oprah will be a pumpkins fan. If she's not already. I'm thinking a Cinderella pumpkin story next.
