     
Announcement: Deadline for submissions has been changed to March 10th, 2007.Act IV and ThePumpkins.net are collaborating to bring you a special contest. To promote the Ghost Children/friends and enemies charity compilation, we are asking you, fans of The Smashing Pumpkins to submit your own music videos of selected covers on the CD. While these videos will not be broadcast, they will be downloadable at ThePumpkins.net and viewable on Act IV's Youtube page. The selected tracks available for the contest: "Ava Adore" by Alluvion

Format Options: The video can be animation or live action.
It can be narrative, performance, experimental, or montage.
Your video can be in one of the following formats: WMV, MOV, AVI, or Flash animation.
All videos submitted must be in a 320 x 240 pixel aspect ratio, and be no larger than 50 MB in size.

Entries will be judged on originality and creativity. Prizes:  | 1st prize: A copy of both the original Ghost Children CD and Ghost Children/friends and enemies. The winner will also receive a copy of the Act IV 2002 live DVD set, and exclusive access to the entire, uncut concert audio of Act IV 2002 in lossless SHN format. The video will also be featured on the Act IV myspace. |  |

Important Submission Note:We will start accepting submissions on December 2nd, 2006, the anniversary of the 'last' SP concert at Metro. Submissions will not be accepted after February 17th, March 10th, 2007. We are aiming to have the winner declared on Billy Corgan's 40th birthday, March 17th, 2007, so the deadline will be enforced to enable enough time for the winners to be determined. Keep in mind that the selected tracks from the CD are available for download now, before the official start of the contest. This allows you to get started on your video, or at least let's you start the brainstorming process before December 2nd. The finalists will be chosen by a panel including the webmasters of Act IV and ThePumpkins.net. Time permitting, the 1st prize winner will be voted on by the fans. Eligibility requirements:Everyone is allowed to submit videos for the contest. However, if artists on the CD decide to submit videos of their own songs, they will be ineligible win the contest, as that would be a conflict of interest. However, if they wish to submit videos, they will be posted on ThePumpkins.net and on the Act IV Youtube. They also may use the video as a portfolio piece. If they wish to have it as an official video for broadcast, they will have to arrange with a rights agency in their home country to get the appropriate rights to legally do so.
