Haven't seen many videos (relatively speaking) but was at a party a few nights ago and was asked by someone I did not know what my favorite video was. Ever? "Of all time." An odd question, I guess, but even odder was that THIS particular video was the first to come to mind and so 'Tonight, Tonight' was my answer ... a video I hadn't even seen in what? Ten years?
I must say! Having reviewed some of the videos on this site I can now honestly say that it's not even my favorite Pumpkins video, but ... I do have a four-year old boy and he watched it with me and became positively obsessed with the dirigible (he's otherwise fond of trains), the falling lovers and their initial umbrella-salvation, the "monsters," the submersion, the "octopus and the stars," etc. We had to watch it eight or nine times! In the process he learned the word "mermaid". And I only became aware that I myself was growing a little tired of it after about the seventh consecutive viewing. What can I say? It has an intimacy, a sweetness and a sad/happy truth which ??? Well done!

i think it's amazing they did the video in color and not the original black in white that "a trip to the moon" was created in in the early 1900's

1906, I think. But here's something interesting ... Tom Kenny and Jill Tally play the lovers (of 2nd City semi-renown) ... they're now actually married, living fat in L.A. as Tom has since become the official voice of SpongeBob!

i had seen this video in a fuzzy viewing before and i just thought it was just another video. then i saw it like this and i feel like i m in the same position some times and from now on when ever i am i just... remember this video and how i gotta just remember that here is hope. thruth behold maybe i m not the only one? maybe i m just another person like all the other videos? i dont no. but i ll always remember this video.

I cant say that I know what the video is about. It looks like a tribute to a very old movie. I can say that this probably my favorite song of all time.
