I was a little nervous that I was going to be let down by the reincarnation of the Pumpkins, that band name has a lot to live up to, but Billy, Jimmy and whomever proved that the they can keep the spirit and sound of the Pumpkins alive. Fuckin' A! Rock is alive and well!

Whoah, this is pretty good. My only complaint is the production, it should be more "fuzzy metal" (on the guitars) sounding would work better. Still a great song, especially for 2007, I'll sure as heak take it!

I don't care about evolution in music, bands - bla bla bla, as long as it sounds good and its always something new! this sounds GOOD!!! and its fresh!

And the album cover is about global warming!!! haha - you can never accusse Billy Corgan, Jimm Chamberlin and the rest (whoever they are?) for being predictable.

Not so sure how I feel about the vocals or the mix, but the song rocks!

All these years later and the second I hear that voice it's like I am back in the 90's, before rock died. I give it four green smileys.

Decent enough song, it's pretty catchy and the guitar parts are pretty good, but the overall sound is just so blah...

Teh B0lly's voice is overbearing and at times way too shriek-y... like more so than normal.

Whatev... I can accept it for what it is: a vehicle to get some live Pumpkins shows again, even if it is Pumpkins v2.0.

To anyone who heard the 30 second clip ... you're right, it has that Zwan essence, i agree BUT !!!!!! if you listen to the whole song, the 3:50 song ( maybe you guys have to go to the homepage and refresh it) cause that song will knock you on your ass & beat you senseless !! I must say I was scared to death to hear that Billy was resurrecting the Pumpkins especially with how awful Zwan and his solo album were. But this is simply supurb!

I like it. It's harder and faster and more live than most music I hear. It's also put together in an interesting arrangement ... not predictable. No cookie-cutter was injured in the making of this song.

But, I have to say that I actually thought Zwan was really quite good. Lyric is easily one of my favorite songs of all-time.

Brilliant Song, happy tunes and great lyrics BUT: the same mistakes like they had in SIames Dream: A too mixed up Voice and overproduced music.
Apart from that, I would say this is defenitly THE SMASHING PUMPKINS!!!! THEY'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my God. This is unbelievably awesome. Only started liking music a few years ago (i'm 15), and the Pumpkins were the first band to ever get me started. They will always be the single greatest band forever. As for the first single since, this is absolutely awesome.

This is good,and it seriously sounds like it was recorded in the Machina II sessions (love the guitar)... but i cannot accept the fact that he is going to re-start the pumpkins w/o James, D'arcy or even Melissa. These are only two members & let's not forget how important James & the others were to the process as well. I am happy to hear how strong his guitar work is, but as a "whole" (pun intended), i cannot somehow feel after the demise of Zwan (which had JC in it) and the flop of his solo album, that by releasing this under the Moniker of the pumpkins, that this will be an auto-success.

I welcome the two back with open arms but as I have gotten older, it's hard to put the music before the sales, and I hope his intentions are noble.

*Zepplin never recorded under the zepplin name without all 4...

This is rock absolute--from the album cover to the hammering song--Nothing like zwan. I do think his vocals have changed from pre break up days to present pumpkin but does that make them less....Again his voice is different and maybe that's why people have said zwanlike ( I believe. I don't know if age has changed his voice or if it was the voice lessons he took....Either way Hail to the King!!

I have mixed emotions about this song. I love the fact that Billy seems to be back in the rocking mode of songwriting we all experienced and loved between 1988-1995. But I am not as in love with tarantula as much as I was hoping I'd be. Its good, but compared to Bullet with Butterfly Wings and Chreub Rock and Today and even jellybelly, I guess my hopes were a little too high, but that's happened to me alot lately. Its hard being a huge 90's hard rock fan and having to hear how much more softer/experimental/unoriginal all your favorite artists have gotten in the last seven or eight years...the ones that are still alive that is. KEEP ROCKING BILLY, YOU STILL RULE!
