This crap movie has nothing to do with art of The Smashing Pumpkins!!! That movie is just Hollywood junk!!! Same as Batman... Who's deciding this??? I would rather hear The Smashing Pumpkins in some other movie... smilies/sigh.gif

Transformers isn't the problem, Michael Bay et al are

It's not that people necessarily dislike the idea of Transformers, just that I think we all know how this will likely turn out. Michael Bay is the same guy who directed Armageddon, and Pearl Harbor, not exactly masterpieces. Yes, Transformers is not meant to be intellectual, but I would like to be a good popcorn movie, not a bad one. I actually love Transformers growing up as a kid, I am just skeptical about this movie. So, SP- great, Transformers-great, Michael Bay (and what he will likely do to Transformers) not great smilies/wink.gif

Quit your whining, guys. The Transformers movie is going to be what the previews say it's going to be: a big summer action flick. I'm going to see it with high hopes, and the fact that the Pumpkins are on the soundtrack shouldn't have any bearing on the movie itself, or vice versa. Hell, I don't know why the soundtrack doesn't just have the song, 'Transformer' on it. Sounds fitting enough, don't you think? smilies/grin.gif

Transformers is easily one of the top 10 greatest films in the history of motion picture. I walked into the theather with very high expectations and for the first time ever those expectations were surpassed by a huge margin. As for the pumkins, sorry guys but it was mediocre at best, I expected a little more from such talent.
