i've actually been thinking about this for a while.... what i think is that around '95/'96 billy noticed that he was starting to show sings of aging. and he knew that just couldn't happen as long as he was in the public eye. so he went down to hell to make a deal with the devil (aka courtney love). he said he'd give her his beautiful perfect hair in exchange for eternal youth. and so far it's working out pretty well
