Well I think that, sadly, like most men in their late twenties (he was 28 I believe) that he was starting to lose his hair, and that whole "vanity" thing about worrying about how he looked may have been a vague way of saying that without really having to admit it. I've seen some footage from '94 and there are definitely some thinning areas, probably why he grew it out that one last time. I'm only so knowledgeable and obsessed and long-winded because I'm 20 and losing my hair lol.
