The new Smashing Pumpkins single "G.L.O.W." will be released on Guitar Hero: World Tour as a download pack that includes 1979 and The Everlasting Gaze. The download pack will be available after that game is released in October and will be the only way to hear the new song until it is released separately at a later date. The game will come with the song Today already included, and will feature Billy Corgan himself as an in-game character. Here is a video about Billy's involvement with the video game:
Sailor moon on guitar is certainly NOT improving the authentic "Rock 'N' Roll" feel for the game they may have been eager to harness.
"Guitar hero right now, represents music people actually listen to" Sweet potato! If 'Guitar hero' represents the zeitgeist for the present musical audiences then I hope for nothing to do with it.
(There were already one too many dressy people in the game Sailor Moon)
Hey SKIT I totally feel where you are coming from and I too wish that that the SP new single should not be released with GTHWT. Its lame and i just don't know what they were thinking.
Yea, the Guitar Hero thing freaks me out just a bit. Although I like the game, I love Smashing Pumpkins more, and if they're trying to attract a new audience or conform into something...like...I don't know really what they're trying to do. I know this is a new chapter for them and they're not going to stay one way forever...they never have. They've always changed as a band. I hope they're making a wise decision with this. And I'm still buying the game
I just hope I don't see 12 year olds with SP shirts screaming about how much they "LOVE THEM OMG!"
And if that happens... At least we can all say we knew them before they were "cool". =/
